Information on the enforcement of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia Act
1. 4. 2012The Government Office for Development and European Affairs was abolished by virtue of the new Government of the Republic of Slovenia Act. The area of European Affairs is now within the competence of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the development issues have been placed in charge of the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology and the Ministry of Finance.
The web contents of the former Government Office have been transferred to the web pages of the above ministries. The present web site has been archived.

Lisbon Treaty
On 13 December 2007, the representatives of the Member States solemnly signed the Reform Treaty, which has been titled the Lisbon Treaty since. The Lisbon Treaty amends both the Treaty on the European Union (TEU) and the Treaty establishing the European Community (TEC) according to the classical method. Henceforth, the EC Treaty has been called Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU). The Treaty of Lisbon entered into force on 1 December 2009. Danube Strategy
In June 2009, the European Council called upon the European Commission to prepare an EU Strategy for the Danube Region (the so-called Danube Strategy) before the end of 2010. Competitiveness of Slovenian Economy
Measures for improving the competitiveness of the Slovenian economy are divided into five areas which the Government, on the basis of a thorough review of the situation, deems to be the most critical. Preparation of Slovenia's Development Strategy 2013-2020
In February 2011 the Government delegated the Government Office for Development and European Affairs, in cooperation with the Institute of Macroeconomic Analysis and Development, to start preparing the strategy.
