The OECD and Slovenia
Slovenia has been an OECD member since July 2010. It received an invitation for membership negotiations at the OECD Ministerial Council held in May 2007. In November 2007, the OECD Council approved the Accession Roadmap setting out the terms and conditions of Slovenia's approximation and accession to the OECD. In July 2008, Slovenia submitted the »Initial Memorandum for Slovenia's Accession to the OECD«. From autumn 2008 to April 2010, Slovenia's readiness and capacity for becoming an OECD member according to the Accession Roadmap were discussed and checked in the OECD committees and working groups. On 10 May the OECD Council decided by consensus to invite Slovenia to accede to the OECD Convention.
